In light of the historical flooding that took place in south Louisiana over the last 5 days, many local breweries are making sure they help with the relief efforts. I was one of the lucky ones in the Baton Rouge area who has not been affected, but many friends, acquaintances and co-workers were not so fortunate. The devastation is, quite honestly, unimaginable. This truly was a 1,000 year flood. Parish Brewing owner, Andrew Godley, personally rescued dozens of people in the Youngsville area on Friday and Saturday by boat. He’s one of the many heroes of the so called “Cajun Navy” that helped people escape rising flood waters.
