Michael Sills is an independent producer/director from Boston (Massachusetts) working on a passion project exploring Craft Beer in the United States called “Brewland“. He plans to make the most comprehensive documentary on the industry yet, covering important historical moments, lots of recent history and opinions from leaders within the industry, not just brewers but the business and the people around it. He wants the industry to tell it’s own story.
As a project they have already spoken to Jim Koch, Alan Newman, John Kimmich, Shaun Hill, and a number of other important figures in the movement, including confirmed upcoming interviews with Charlie Papazian and Steve Hindy.
They have a currently active IndieGoGo campaign which aims to raise money in order to complete the project. The funding is necessary to ensure they can tell the story to its fullest by making sure they can get to various other craft beer hot spots like Colorado and California, among others.
