Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog’s brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Crux Fermentation Project – Crux Brewdeck Release – Belgian Gale Belgian-Style Pale Ale.
From the Crux Fermentation Project website: “You might expect Belgian-style golden ales to clash with aggressively hopped American pale ales, with choppy results. But the Styrian Golding, Tettnang and Saaz hops in this beer produce grassy, peppery notes that complement the spicy, clove-like phenols created by the Belgian yeast. Like the North Sea gales across West Flanders, this toasty and aromatic ale smoothes out any rough terrain as it sweeps across your palate.”

Appearance: Pours a dark golden amber color with an  almost non-existent white head and nice legs on the glass.
Aroma: Bready, toasted and caramel malts, clove, banana, slight Belgian barnyard scents and pepper.
