Cuca is the national beer of Angola, and is made in Luanda and Benguela. Cuca has been made since the 1950s. Almost all other beers available in Angola still come directly from Portugal, although Sagres (of Portugal) is about to start brewing locally in Angola. The company employs almost 500 people (2005).
