DC Brau is fighting the February doldrums with two beer-related announcements. First off, just in time for the Chinese New Year, DC Brau is expanding the distribution of its “International-Style Lager,” Tuk Tuk, throughout DC. Brewed in collaboration with Maketto on H Street NE, the bright yellow pop art cans will now be available at restaurants and retailers.
Tuk Tuk (4.5% ABV) is a rice lager, loosely inspired by Tiger Beer, Angkor Beer, and Taiwan Beer, that uses Tettnanger hops and a Bohemian Lager yeast.
“Tuk Tuk was inspired by one of our favorite Asian light beers to be an easy-drinking lager with a little hop flavor and lively carbonation,” says DC Brau’s Brewmaster Jeff Hancock in a press release. “It has a refreshingly light body that pairs perfectly with Asian cuisine.”
