As you can probably tell, there wasn’t a lot of activity on the beer front this week. There was one bright side though, the Sante Fe Brewing Co. beers have finally made it into the market. I know the Barrelhouse in Ogden is selling them, some others bars may be too. They will likely be hitting the DABC stores in the next week or two. If you spot them somewhere please share the info.
Santa Fe – Happy Camper IPA: The nose has floral citrus hop notes with a bit of grass and some earthy malt. The taste starts floral and grassy a bit of musty clementine juiciness. Subtle caramel malts some next with a hint of toffee. It finishes dry with a dose of bitter orange rind and pine. 6.6% ABV. 12oz can
Santa Fe – Imperial Java Stout: Pours a dark brown to black with about an inch of head. The nose is full of dark roasted coffee and roasted barley. The taste starts with an abundance of dark bitter coffee.
