The Week Ahead in Beer: Santa Fe doubles up on the release parties

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and a pair of newcomers, one down in Socorro and the other in Los Alamos, also joining the party.

Santa Fe Brewing has always been good about holding release parties for their major seasonal beers, but it always used to mean their Albuquerque-based fans would have to suck it up and drive to the brewery, or catch the RailRunner, or just figure out some safe way north. With the opening of their ABQ Taproom, however, they can now double up on the release parties so everyone can get a chance to have a little fun without having to travel too far. This Saturday will mark the double release party for Irish Red and the new Chaiway to Hell, a Chai-spiced imperial porter. Up at the brewery, the Sean Healen Band will perform from 4 to 6
