Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Los Alamos, and one in Moriarty also joining the party.

Halloween falls on a Tuesday this year, so naturally everyone is throwing parties the prior weekend, which just happens to be this weekend. Since it is a holiday that’s as much for grown-ups as children, our breweries are jumping into the fun. It all kicks off Friday at 8 p.m. with GOTHtoberfest at Bow & Arrow. Put on your best all-black outfit or costume, enjoy some dark beers and spooky music, and get your weekend started off with lots of quotes from South Park. Saturday will feature a pair of nighttime events at Duel ABQ and Tractor Wells Park.
