On the heels of their gold medal win at the Great American Beer Festival, and in celebration of Louisiana Craft Beer Week, Tin Roof Brewing is releasing two beers on Friday afternoon.
Voodoo Pale Ale took gold at GABF in the Hazy or Juicy Pale Ale category last weekend, besting 131 other entrants. In celebration, the brewery is releasing a double dry hopped version of Voodoo on Friday.
Additionally, a double dry hopped imperial version of Juke Joint IPA will also be released Friday.
I was able to get my hands on both to try out just to let you guys and gals know what to expect. The things I do for my readers.
Double Dry Hopped Voodoo is simply the same Voodoo pale ale we all know and love, but with more dry hops. At 5% ABV, it still drinks really easy. I find it’s a little green right now, and I think will mellow out a touch in a week or so. But it’s a good way to get your fill of hops in a smaller, easy to drink beer.
