3 Stars to Open “Urban Farmhouse” at Brewery Tomorrow

Tomorrow, 3 Stars Brewing Company will open their “Urban Farmhouse,” an enclosed 100-person tasting room and event space constructed within the Takoma brewery. The 1,100-square-foot interior addition provides a venue to host community and private events year-round as well as a temperature-controlled place to get a high-quality craft beer. In the Urban Farmhouse, which encloses the growler, pint, and sampler bar previously in the open air brewery, visitors can now enjoy both heating and air conditioning, according to the season.

The 60-seat country-style “Urban Farmhouse” is a freestanding space within the brewery warehouse. Crafted from reclaimed wood and corrugated metal and draped in unfinished wooden shingles, the farmhouse is a “playful juxtaposition against the otherwise industrial space,” according to a press release. The “Urban Farmhouse” was also the original name of 3 Stars’ Peppercorn Saison.

The space features retractable garage doors, through which guests can mingle beneath
