Saturday, May 3 kicks off National Travel and Tourism Week, a nationwide event to recognize and celebrate the vast impact of travel on local communities. The Richmond Region will be celebrating all month. Throughout the month of May, locals can purchase Thirsty Tour Guide beer, a special tourism-themed beer developed in partnership with Center of the Universe Brewing Company (COTU). Thirsty Tour Guide is available in 22 oz. bottles and can be found in stores where COTU beer is sold. Thirsty Tour Guide is a re-branded version of COTU’s Pocahoptas beer. This hop-forward India Pale Ale features four different hops from the Pacific Northwest combined with a base of imported English 2-row barley and Crystal malts. It is an unfiltered West Coast-style IPA weighing in at 6.8%ABV and 72IBUs, and is dry-hopped for additional hop flavor and aroma.
