Friday ACBW Highlights

It’s been a busy week here in South Louisiana celebrating American Craft Beer Week. Good to see some of you out and about this week drinking some great hand crafted beer and supporting the businesses who are serving them. I had a great time last night at both The Pelican House and The Cove trying out Tin Roof’s Oak Street coffee porter (which was fantastic) and meeting Paul and Wanda Blacksmith, founders, owners, and brewers of Crooked Letter Brewing from Ocean Springs Mississippi.

This evening, I’ll be hitting up the Tin Roof ACBW party at the brewery in Baton Rouge. Jay Ducote of Bite and Booze will be there cooking fried fish and chipotle mac and cheese, and there will be a few one off kegs available in addition to their flagship beers. The one offs include a Citra dry hopped Blonde, triple dry hopped Juke Joint IPA and Java Jeaux coffee porter aged with Community Coffee beans and cocoa nibs. This is a family friendly event, so come on out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
