Monk’s House of Ale Repute What do you get when you add friends, beer, music & beautiful weather? The answer is Beervana. I started last years’ post with the same question, but the answer is the same. Monk’s knows the answer and how to throw a party! Thanks to Jerry Hauck, Karen Lightfield Budde, the bartenders and distributors for a great time! Beervana crowd The event was held last Saturday, September 20. The weather was beautiful and sunny. There were 60+ unique beers to sample – what more could a beer geek ask for? Unlimited tastings were available for the $40 entrance fee. Food vendors and live music added to the fun. Every participant received a special tasting glass. Beef brisket and Furious – yum! Besides the good beer, it was great to see old friends and to meet new ones. I got to spend time with Brookings, Sioux Falls and former Mitchell friends. Fanghorn from Crow Peak in my glass! I even got to see a Sioux Falls party bike passing by.
