I had a great time last weekend! It’s now Monday and I’m still laughing and shaking my head at the adventure. Last Friday night I traveled to Minneapolis with friends Craig Martin and Dave Kragness in search of Surly Darkness. It is a highly sought after Russian imperial stout offered at the Surly brewery on only one day and for a short time at certain Minnesota liquor stores in very limited quantities. We arrived around 10:30 to camp out for the night. People had been arriving on the streets near the brewery since 3:30. It seemed like a couple thousand people were camping and sharing beer. It was quite the scene with numerous fire pits, tents and even big screen televisions. Luckily the weather was mild and dry. Craig & Dave We spent a couple hours visiting with old and new friends before trying to get some sleep. People started to stir around 6 am when the smell of coffee drifted through the air.
