History & Hops with Starr Hill at The Heurich House

The Heurich House Museum’s monthly series History & Hops returns on Thursday, November 20 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm with Starr Hill Brewery. Starr Hill will serve two limited edition reserve beers, including the highly coveted Monticello Reserve Ale, and a seasonal firkin. Inspired by the beer Thomas Jefferson produced and consumed at Monticello, the brewers will discuss the history behind the Monticello Reserve Ale. In addition, the Museum will highlight Heurich’s Lager, an historical recreation of the pre-prohibition beer brewed by the Chr. Heurich Brewing Co., through the display of archival items.

 

Located in Crozet, Virginia, Starr Hill is one of the most award-winning craft breweries on the East Coast, having won eight gold medals at such prestigious beer competitions as the World Beer Cup, Great American Beer Festival and Great British Beer Festival, along with 16 other medals, since its founding 14 years ago.
