Dosvidanya Russian-Style Extra Imperial Stout. 12.5% ABV, 84 IBU. In devising my plan of attack for the Great American Beer Festival a couple years ago, I asked my readers which breweries I should be sure to visit. I was looking for beers I couldn’t normally get in Colorado, and I received lots of excellent suggestions. After numerous people recommended DESTIHL Brewery, I put them at the top of my list. And it was one of the best beer decisions I’ve ever made. Flanders Red. If you like sour, this is your beer. 6.1% ABV, 12 IBU. I loved everything I tried from DESTIHL at GABF. I even chose a couple for my “GABF Best in Show” list: Samhain Pumpkin Porter (2012) and St. Dekkera Reserve Sour Raspberry/Strawberry Ale (2013). After having their beers all I could think was, “How I wished they would distribute here!” And now, over two years later, they have partnered with distributors Elite Brands to make my dreams come true.
