Wurstkuche Denver, 2036 Broadway. Photo Credit: Daniel Lauer Wurstküche, a Los Angeles based restaurant from proprietors Tyler Wilson and Joseph Pitruzzelli, has expanded to Denver. I had the pleasure of paying them a visit just a few days before opening day. My first impression? Impressive selection of beers, delicious sausage and fries, and a welcoming environment. Walk in, choose your sausage, fries, and beer, then off to the beer hall in back. Wurstküche has a huge selection of sausages, with approximately 18 from which to choose. From traditional bratwurst, duck & bacon, rattlesnake & rabbit, to lamb. And even three vegetarian options. Vegetarian Smoked Apple Sage Sausage with caramelized onions & sweet peppers. Belgian Fries with dipping sauces: Curry Ketchup, Sweet & Sassy BBQ, Chipotle Aioli, and Pesto Mayo. The beer is a mixture of Westmalle’s Dubbel and their Tripel.
