Zapp’s International Beerfest is tomorrow

Zapp’s International Beerfest returns to the Rural Life Museum in Baton Rouge on Saturday, March 21st. This annual event is my favorite beer festival in the state. The beautiful outdoor setting of the Rural Life Museum allows the patrons to spread out and enjoy the grounds while drinking some great brews. Hundreds of beers from dozens of brewers will be featured, but as is the case with many of these festivals, the homebrew area is the place to be.

There will be at least 4 homebrew clubs pouring beers, as well as the state’s premier homebrew shop, LA Homebrew. The clubs pouring will be Brasseurs a la Maison, Redstick Brewmasters, Bicycle Brew Club, and Mystic Krewe of Brew. I’ll be out there helping pour beers at the Brasseurs a la Maison setup, which if you’ve seen it before, you can’t miss. Our club has turned an old canoe into a giant wall of taps.
