Local Winners at Other Cities’ Competitions

A quick shout out to two Missouri breweries who recently took home medals at a pair of beer competitions.

First up is North Kansas City’s Big Rip Brewing who scored two awards at the Denver International Beer Competition. One bronze for Hefe the Killer, in hefeweizen category; and another bronze for Hathor’s Sweet Brown, in the sweet brown category.

Public House Brewing in Rolla and St James, Missouri, grabbed a gold in the American-style stout category for their Revelation Stout at the Los Angeles International Beer Competition. Public House also received an honorary mention for Rod’s Cream Ale. (By the way, both of these are available in six-packs around Kansas City now.)

Congratulations to both. Hooray, Missouri beer!
