Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and a pair of newcomers, one down in Socorro and the other in Los Alamos, also joining the party. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. The big event of this weekend is still the final round of the IPA Challenge at Boxing Bear, though we know not all of you are going. Not everyone is a hophead, so fear not, there are other things to do. The Route 66 Summerfest will also be held Saturday in Nob Hill. Eight different breweries will be featured at Cork & Tap — Abbey, Broken Bottle, Canteen, Chama River, Kaktus, Marble, Red Door, Santa Fe. It all runs from 2 to 10:30 p.m. and will feature lots of food, arts, music, and more.
