Beer review: Creature Comforts Tropicalia IPA

Today is the official kickoff of college football (real college football, not that FCS stuff), so why not do another beer review, right? What better way to get it going than to review a beer from the heart of SEC country? Creature Comforts is located in Athens, Georgia, and unfortunately isn’t available in Louisiana. But that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t search out their brews, especially when LSU heads to Atlanta in December for the SEC Championship Game (see what I did there?).

Tropicalia is a single IPA, weighing in at a mere 6.5%. Here’s what the brewery says about it:

A BALANCED, SOFT, AND JUICY IPA. RIPE PASSION FRUIT AND CITRUS HOP AROMA LEAD TO A FULL, FRUIT-FORWARD HOP FLAVOR THAT WASHES OVER THE PALATE, ENDING WITH SUBTLE BITTERNESS. SOME FOLKS SAY THEY DON’T LIKE HOPPY BEERS, AND TO THAT WE SAY THAT HOPS DO NOT EQUAL BITTERNESS. TO US, HOPS OFFER A PLETHORA OF FLAVORS, NOT JUST BITTERNESS; AND IN TROPICÁLIA IT’S A BEAUTIFUL, LUSCIOUS, FRUIT JOURNEY FOR YOUR PALATE TO ENJOY WIT
