Public Apology To Our Readers

Despite our philosophy to tell the stories of Michigan craft beer, spirits and cider with the utmost integrity, we recently failed our community and readers.

One of our newest contributing photographers broke our trust and yours. During a recent high profile bottle release last weekend, she used her camera and MittenBrew business card to gain access to the brewery’s production facility moments after our writer and official photographer who were assigned to cover the story left the event.

She was caught loading a case of beer into her vehicle. When questioned by brewery personnel, who didn’t recognize her, she couldn’t produce a receipt for the beer. She told them MittenBrew made the arrangements for the beer on her behalf. We assure you, that’s false.

Due to litigation, we can’t disclose any other details. She has since been removed from our staff page, and we’ve advised our industry contacts to avoid working with her in the future in any capacity. We know the local scene is small and
