Beervana 2016

This go around of Beervana at Monks House of Ale Repute last Saturday had quite a few changes some good and some not-so-great depending on who you talked to.  I found it to be much more spread out this year which was really nice in my opinion.  They had several jockey boxes set up inside as well as outside in the parking lot.  They had the live music from Condor Sioux Falls and Hard Travelin’ outside so people could be in the sun enjoying the brews.  There was also fantastic sandwiches and burritos served by the crew taking over Monks kitchen.  You can find their tap list on the Beervana 2016! facebook page as well.  This year there was little to no merch given away by breweries, this included stickers.  I believe it is due to the fact that South Dakota has recently started enforcing old laws, one of which being that no merchandise can be “given” to bars, breweries, etc. everything needs to be purchased.  Another recently enforced law is that no brewery can po
