Yes. Yes. Yes. Piney River has wound its way to Kansas City.

My in-laws live in Lebanon, Missouri. About an hour’s drive up I-44 from Springfield. Though, in craft beer terms, it might as well be among the sand dunes of the Sahara rather than the rolling hills of the Ozarks. Though, there was one oasis on Route 66. One gleaming beacon of well-crafted beer not to be found in Kansas City but available in Lebanon. Piney River Brewing.

I’ve been gushing about Piney River even before our first trip to the BARn. That trek – admittedly not an easy drive – has become an annual summer adventure. Amazing beer among beautiful surroundings with the occasional cow bleating in the distance.

But now, the barn-brewed goodness has come to the city. North Kansas City Beverage has picked up local distribution of Piney River and we can all enjoy it without the trek. Upon hearing the news, I immediately ran out and grabbed a sixer of Missouri Mule IPA. And it’s my beer of the week.
