Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Socorro, one in Los Alamos, and one in Moriarty also joining the party.

Social media has been rife with strife since a certain someone took office, but this weekend provides one of our great annual escapes from reality. Yeah, the one time a year where we actually watch the commercials, and root against the true Evil Empire. Since the Falcons probably don’t have much of a chance, load up on as many local brews as you can. A few breweries will close early Sunday. Those who have reported altered hours are: La Cumbre, closing at 6 p.m.; Sidetrack, closing at 4 p.m.; Turtle Mountain, closing at 4 p.m. Palmer said it will close whenever the crowd thins out.
