In December, we brought you word about Sankofa Beer Company, which aims to bring West African-inspired beer to the DC market. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, it’s time for the launch of HYPEbiscus, their first offering. Join the Sankofa team for a two-part launch party on June 30. First, from 4pm-8pm, they’ll be at The Midlands (3333 Georgia Ave NW) in Park View. After that outdoor party ends, they’ll be headed to The Caged Bird (1723 Connecticut Ave NW) for a party with DJ Easy, who will be spinning Afrobeat, Dancehall, and Soca. $15 early bird tickets are available at sankofabeer.com Address:
