10+ Area Breweries Contribute to

The effects of the Camp Fire, the deadliest conflagration in California history, which claimed 88 lives and left dozens injured and thousands homeless, have been well-documented. Perhaps equally known, at least in the beer world, is the fire’s proximity to well-loved industry stalwart Sierra Nevada Brewing Company.

In response to myriad calls and inquiries about how the brewing community could assist with the recovery effort, Sierra Nevada announced they would brew “Resilience Butte County Proud IPA.” More than 100 breweries around the country will join the effort and brew this beer and contribute sales from it to those affected by the fire. At least ten of those breweries will come from the DC metro area as our local breweries mash in for a good cause to stand shoulder to shoulder with Sierra Nevada.

So far the list of local breweries committing to brewing Resilience IPA includes 3 Stars, Atlas Brew Works, Bluejacket, Hellbender, and Right Proper in DC. Virginia, locally, will add Por
