Best area happy hours for beer lovers

Greetings fellow beer drinkers,

This is Tony Budny. You may remember me from our local beer column, Screaming Into the Void. I am here to tell you about the best local happy hours for people like us, who like to relax in the evenings with a cold one. Craft beer will be the main focus, but I will also include happy hours of note outside of the realm of small(ish) breweries. I’m sure eventually the Brewers Association will update the definition to include many of those breweries anyway.

The list is broken down by geography for easy searching. For DC, because of the high volume, they are ranked them in groups based on how good the deal is compared to the region. We are DC Beer after all. 

Unless the beer is killer, anything $6 or above for a pint for happy hour didn’t make the list. Deals of $1 or, in most cases, $2 off drafts didn’t make the cut on this list either, with special consideration for venues that have a great selection of draft
