The Week Ahead in Beer: Friday and Sunday events highlight holiday weekend

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s seven breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party.

Labor Day Weekend is usually seen as the traditional end of summer, even though it sure doesn’t feel like it temperature-wise. For the most part, the breweries are treating it like any other weekend, with the exception of a trio of Friday events and two more of note on Sunday. First up, La Cumbre is definitely feeling autumn with the annual release of its delicious Oktoberfest Lager this Friday at noon on tap and in cans.
