The Week Ahead in Beer: The charitable contributions roll out at multiple breweries

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s eight breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party.

We wrote earlier this week on how Marble Brewery has adapted to the current state of affairs when it comes to still helping out charities and other worthwhile nonprofits. Yet, as anyone who follows our local beer scene already knows, Marble is just one of many breweries that give back to the community. Others are stepping up this week, each in their own way. Things kick off today (Wednesday) as Tractor Wells Park hosts Not All Heroes Wear Capes, which honors workers in the healthcare industry and first responders by taking 50 percent off their checks for all beer, cider, cocktails, and food.
