The Week Ahead in Beer: Broken Trail steps up to help animal shelters with annual release

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. With the restrictions on how many people can be inside breweries these days, it has pushed many places to change up how they do their annual charity endeavors, as we noted last week with Tractor Brewing. Over the past weekend, Broken Trail brought back one of its past contributions to the community, tapping Dogtoberfest at the Uptown Taproom on Menaul. For every pint of this Marzen-style brew purchased, 20 percent of sales goes to help local animal shelters. Patrons can also bring in one of the following three items — one bag of dry dog food, three unused dog toys, puppy training pads — and get
