New Beer Friday 5/21/21

Hops still rule this week but there are some mavericks out there keeping things interesting. The Bayou may have been absent for a while, but they’re back with a vengeance with a deep list of new beers that’ll blow your mind. 

Kiitos – West Coast IPA: This new IPA was brewed with Sabro, Citra and Cascade hops. Smell is of citrus fruit, citrus zest, and tropical fruit aromas. Taste is much the same with citrus zest, grapefruit juice, and tropical fruit flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of hop bitterness on the palate with each sip. 5.0% – Available at Kiitos now, and soon to grocery stores.

Kiitos – Nitro Rimando Pale Ale: This is a small batch pale ale on nitro that I believe was made with papaya. This is quite delicious: medium sweet malts with nice citrus peel notes. The fruit is complimentary without being too in your face. The Nitrogen is smooth and adds depth. 5.0% – Only at Kiitos.
