Avast, Victory at Sea day sails toward us later this month

Earlier today (Friday), we teased the upcoming Victory at Sea Day, a collaborative effort between the Brew Crew and Ballast Point to bring you some awesome variants of this massively wonderful beer. Well, as you can see from the above poster, there will be some epic versions on tap Saturday, Jan. 30, starting at 4 p.m. at Nob Hill Bar & Grill.

For those who have never indulged, Victory at Sea (10% ABV, 60 IBU) is an imperial robust porter with vanilla and coffee beans from San Diego’s Caffe Calabria. In addition to the wonderful original version, Ballast Point has made several variants, all of which will be available to us in New Mexico for the first time.

The Elijah Craig Barrel-Aged VaS is the highlight for us, but we will admit to being quite intrigued by how the flavor changes with the peppermint, peanut butter, and toasted coconut. All of the VaS variants will be poured in 10-ounce glasses at $6 apiece, while the barrel-aged will be $7. NHBG
