Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and a pair of newcomers, one down in Socorro and the other in Los Alamos, also joining the party.
Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer.
Here is hoping you all survived Halloween on a Saturday. Rather than try to come up with creative costumes, the Crew (well, myself, Brandon, and Franz Solo) just gathered around a fire pit and opened some bombers, including a Chama River Decenni-ale Imperial Stout we had been aging for nearly a year. Speaking of stouts, did you know this week is one of our favorite holidays on Planet Earth, namely International Stout Day?! Well, now you do! This Thursday all over the world, stout lovers unite and celebrate our favorite beer style. This also makes for a great time to get every person who has ever said “oh, I don’t like dark beers”
