Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s six breweries, one in Socorro, one in Los Alamos, and one in Moriarty also joining the party.

Many of our breweries have been friendly to dogs for years, and every now and again, they step up further. The good news is, one brewery is helping out in Santa Fe, the other is helping out in Albuquerque. Rowley Farmhouse Ales is hosting a Pints for Pups night in cooperation with Ballast Point tonight (Wednesday) from 5 to 9 p.m. All proceeds from the BP beers on tap will be donated to the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, plus there will be merchandise from the shelter and special giveaways. Down here in Albuquerque, Broken Trail is hosting their second annual Dogtoberfest on Saturday from noon to 6 p.m. The fundraiser benefits the Watermelon Mountain Ran
