The Week Ahead in Beer: News keeps right on brewing even in slow times

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the reunified edition of The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and one newcomer down in Socorro also joining the party. We tried hard to keep the state edition going, but without participation from the breweries outside the I-25 corridor, it was futile.

Well, here’s hoping you all survived the holidays. We’ve been overdue for a couple quiet weeks and that is just what is upon us. Of course, there is no time like the present to snag those WinterBrew tickets. Remember, it’s not as big as Hopfest or NM Brew Fest. There are a limited number of tickets available. I just bought mine last night since it sold out a week in advance last year. Beyond that festival on Jan. 23, everything is pretty quiet on the beer events front.
