The Week Ahead in Beer: Run, do not walk, to load up on brews

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s eight breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party.

The National Independent Beer Run Day is this Saturday, a creation of the Brewers Association to encourage folks to stock up on local craft beer for the July 4 holiday weekend. In a way, every brewery is participating simply by having beer to go, whether in cans, bottles, growlers, or crowlers. No one locally has announced any sort of special deals or anything, but all of us in the Crew will highly encourage everyone out there to load up on craft for the holiday.
