Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the second half of the now-divided Week Ahead in Beer. This edition covers all the breweries outside of Bernalillo and Sandoval Counties. From Taos to Santa Fe to Farmington to Las Vegas in the north, to Portales, Artesia, Silver City, and Las Cruces in the south, this edition will keep you up to date every week with as many breweries as we can reach. Second Street’s patio is the closest you will get to a German beer garden in New Mexico. Coincidentally, it’s German Beer Month at Second Street in August.
Santa Fe Brewing kicked off a German trend last weekend with their Oktoberfest release party. Now it’s Second Street’s turn as August is German Beer Month. We don’t have all the details yet, but there is already a German Pilsner on tap and likely a few more German-style beers to come.
