Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the reunified edition of The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and one newcomer down in Socorro also joining the party. We tried hard to keep the state edition going, but without participation from the breweries outside the I-25 corridor, it was futile. Stoutmeister puts on his serious face to handle The Week Ahead in Beer. The whole “let’s give thanks” bit that writers pull out every year is a bit trite, but heck, why not do that here? Thank you to all of our local breweries for all that they do for us. Sometimes New Mexico is a frustrating place to live. The job market is terrible, our educational system is useless, the politicians are corrupt, the Lobo football team can’t ever seem to win, and dear lord, don’t even get us all started on either the whacked-out weather or the dreadful drivers on our streets and highways.
