The Week Ahead in Beer: The final Oktoberfest parties of the season are here

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s seven breweries, one in Los Alamos, one in Moriarty, one in Red River, one in Silver City, and one in Truth or Consequences also joining the party.

The end of festival season is nigh, with a few big ones on deck for this weekend, including the last two Oktoberfest parties (that we know of) going down in two completely different settings. Up north, Red River is hosting its annual event Friday through Sunday at Brandenburg Park, with locals Red River Brewing and 10 other breweries taking part. The cost is just $5 for the entire weekend, with commemorative taster mugs for $10 or stein glasses for $20. There will be food, games, music, and more.
