The Week Ahead in Beer: Time to pick the best brews of 2014

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with the reunified edition of The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and one newcomer down in Socorro also joining the party. We tried hard to keep the state edition going, but without participation from the breweries outside the I-25 corridor, it was futile.

Welcome to the second of two major holiday weeks. To help you all out, we’ve gotten a listing of (almost all) the breweries’ holiday hours. Take note, some breweries are closed for New Year’s Day. These are the hours for today (Wednesday), AKA New Year’s Eve. Let this be your planning guide for last-minute growler fills.

  • Back Alley: unknown, contact the brewery
  • Bosque: 11 a.m.-8 p.m.
  • Boxing Bear: regular hours
  • Broken Bottle: closes at 8 p.m.
  • Canteen: noon-10 p.m.
  • Cazuela’s: regular hours
  • Chama River: regular hours
