Whole pints at Whole Foods that don’t cost a whole paycheck

The Whole Foods in Santa Fe has a preview of what’s coming to Albuquerque this weekend — an on-site craft beer bar!

This Saturday, the Sandia Saloon pub inside the Whole Foods on Academy will open. I recently visited the Pinon Pub at the Whole Foods in Santa Fe to get an idea of what to expect. I have to say, it was pretty great to be able to walk around and grab whatever we felt like snacking on, and then taking it into the bar area to eat and grab a pint. Full confession — after stopping by for a pint on Saturday afternoon, we were so impressed that we came back for an early lunch the next morning.

That’s a whole lot of taps.

There are 24 taps with some pretty diverse choices of local craft brews and a few interesting out-of-state choices as well. Wine and select cocktails made with local spirits are also available.
