22nd Annual Garden City Brewfest

Perhaps the greatest marker that the seasons are changing is the annual Garden City Brewfest in Caras Park. It comes each year on the first Saturday in May, which is also the date of the first Farmer’s Market and the week before finals for students at the University of Montana-Missoula. And this week, it coincides with two-plus days of glorious sunshine and 70+ degree temps. What more could we ask for? Well, perhaps all the cool events that are happening and have happened as part of Missoula Craft Beer Week, which is generously sponsored by the Missoula Downtown Association and Draught Works. 

This year, the MDA has pulled together 68 craft beers from around the region. Not only are all Missoula breweries and most all the breweries west of Divide present, we are getting beers from surrounding states and and far east in Montana as Outlaw Brewing in Belgrade.
