The Week Ahead in Beer: A whole lotta music for a good cause at the Beer Farm

Greetings, New Mexico craft beer lovers. Stoutmeister here with The Week Ahead in Beer. This column covers all the breweries in Bernalillo and Sandoval counties, with Santa Fe’s four breweries and a pair of newcomers, one down in Socorro and the other in Los Alamos, also joining the party.

We all know that Tractor is one of the most active breweries in the community, particularly through their Beer for a Better Burque campaign. Every month Tractor raises money for four charities — Animal Humane NM, Blackout Theater Company, Harwood Arts Center, Health Action NM — through pint sales and special growlers. Taking things one step further this week, Tractor is having a parking lot party this Saturday at Wells Park beginning at 4 p.m. There will be four bands performing, with each band assigned one of the charities. The band voted upon as the crowd’s favorite will then have its designated charity receive an extra $500. T
