The Wing & Brewfest happened last Saturday at the Swiftel Center in Brookings. The weather was hot and sunny, but the beer was cold! A $30 brewtent pass entitled attendees to sample as many beers as they wanted. The format in the tent varied this year to encourage breweries to send representatives to pour their beer instead of the volunteers from past years. This change gave people a chance to meet and ask questions about the beers they were trying. Perry Miller Perry Miller from Brookings Radio did a live broadcast of his successful Beer Untapped radio show from the tent. Nick Murphy & Chad Petit of Hydra Brewing I met Nick Murphy and Chad Petit from the Hydra Beer Company for the first time. I enjoyed their Death Breath Double IPA and Immortal Ale.
