Hello beer lovers and welcome to another edition of the NorCal Beer Blog’s brew review.
Tonight’s featured beer is Modern Times Beer Black House – Chocolatey Coconut Stout – Beer With Coffee, Toasted Coconut & Cocoa Nibs Added.
Let’s get started!
Appearance: Pours a dark coffee brown, nearly black with a tan head leaving lots of lacing.
Aroma: Coconut, espresso, dark chocolate with faint scents of caramel and nuts.
Taste: Lots of coffee, dark chocolate, coconut, some caramel malt, slight hop bite and a touch nutty.
Overall: Wonderfully balanced and well-crafted, Modern Times Beer Black House – Chocolatey Coconut Stout is delicious. This 5.8% ABV offering is well worth trying if you come across it.
