Allagash Curieux Anniversary and Rarities at ChurchKey

Join us next Tuesday at ChurchKey as we celebrate and toast the 10th anniversary of Curieux, the Jim Beam Bourbon Barrel-Aged Tripel by Allagash! A decade ago, this beer was Allagash’s first foray into barrel aging…and what a first attempt it was! Curieux has set the bar for barrel-aged Tripels and we are ecstatic to celebrate its longtime success!
 
In addition to Curieux, we will feature the base beer for Curieux: Allagash Tripel; as well as James Bean (Allagash Curieux that has been blended with locally-roasted cold-pressed coffee from Matt’s Coffee in Pownal, Maine).
 
To further showcase the barrel-aging dexterity of our friends from Allagash, we will also pour Odyssey, a Belgian Strong Dark Ale aged for ten months, a portion in oak barrels and the remainder in stainless tanks. And finally, Allagash Black, a Belgian Stout, will be served two ways; in addition to the base beer, we’ve also acquired a keg of Bourbon Barrel Black: the same luscious Allagash Black that h
