Beer for the Holidays

Thanksgiving and Christmas are special holidays when we gather with family and friends. We are so busy preparing our homes and food that we don’t always get everything done. Don’t worry about the beer. Grab some of your favorites, relax and enjoy the time off.
I’m sure you all have read numerous lists of the appropriate beer to serve with each meal course. It is often impossible to find these choices in South Dakota. Good beer is available so don’t sweat the details.
Craft lagers are great for the Thanksgiving football games. I would suggest West O Brewing Holy L (hoppy lager) or the August Schell Brewing Company Pilsner.

At mealtime you might want to go to Sierra Nevada Celebration if you like hoppy beer or Boulevard Brewing Tank 7 if you like Farmhouse ales. If you are lucky you might have Wisconsin friends who set you uo with some New Glarus Cran-bic. That would be the perfect choice to accompany the cranberries.
