Beer review: Nøgne Ø Asian Pale Ale

And now for another low-alcohol beer by Nøgne Ø. Asian Pale Ale is a new beer, which will be available in supermarkets and grocery stores in Norway from early May. This beer is a pale ale brewed with a generous amount of Lemongrass, weighing in at 4.5% ABV.

Looks

Hazy golden color with a large white head.

Aroma

The aroma has loads of lemongrass, making it smell really refreshing. There are also some other citrus hints and some malty sweetness.

Flavor

Lovely amount of bitterness in the flavor, along with a huge amount of lemongrass. As in the aroma there is a nice sweetness balancing out the bitterness.

The body is really nice and smooth considering the low ABV. The carbonation is slightly sharp, but not to the point of it making the beer uncomfortable to drink.

Finish

Rather long finish as well with some peppery hints as well as hints of the lemongrass lingering for a long time.
