It’s time for your nominees for the second annual Golden Tappys, the awards for the best of craft beer in and around Kansas City! Awards, by Dave Shea via Flickr Last year we had five categories: Best Local Beer, Best Beer Bar, Best Bottle Shop, Best Festival and Best Small Brewery. This year, were adding one more to expand our footprint a bit, Best Outstate Brewery, which will go to the best brewery in Missouri or Kansas not in the KC region*. *The Kansas City region has a hazy border defined only in my mind. But for reference, Lawrence is in and Springfield is not. Best Local BeerThere are some amazing beers produced in this city, and new ones every day. Many have won awards in competitions across the country. Some are old favorites. Some are brand new. Which is your choice?
